What Makes Re-Stumping a Murarrie Home Different
Murarrie sits along Creek Road between Bulimba Creek and the Brisbane River, on land that carried meatworks and light industry for much of the twentieth century. Large sections have since been redeveloped into townhouse and apartment estates, leaving a smaller number of older standalone houses scattered through the suburb.
Those remaining houses often predate the surrounding estates by decades, and their stumps show it. Ground near the creek can stay damp well after rain, and years of nearby earthworks can change how water moves across a block. We look at both the stumps and the ground together.
We do not assume any Murarrie property is or is not flood-affected. Brisbane City Council publishes flood mapping and FloodWise property reports, and every owner should check their own address there before making decisions about floor height.
Approvals depend on the scope of work. Restumping in place is usually simpler than a raise, but we still confirm overlay and any heritage status for your property at the free assessment, so there are no surprises once work is booked.
Our response is to inspect from Eagle Farm, check every stump, bearer and the ground beneath, then re-level the house on new supports. Steel posts and beams go in wherever the old timber can no longer carry the load.
